We have shared a love of dogs for our entire lives and have been involved in the AKC dog show world for about 32 of those years. We have had a diverse interest over the years as well, owning a variety of breeds. We have bred Champion Cocker Spaniels, English Pointers, Beagles and Kerry Blue Terriers. We have been married for 35 years come August of 2010. We have three wonderful full grown sons, two sweet daughters-in-law and two grandchildren in our lives.

We don’t breed often but when we do breed we do our homework, research, heath testing and strive to better the breed. We started out with Parti Colored American Cocker Spaniels moved into the Pointers and then added the Beagles and Kerry Blues. We have had other breeds along the way that we have not bred but did enjoy showing them to their championships, and we have enjoyed their companionship and friendship and learned as much as we could about their personalities, temperaments, health issues and abilities. Some would refer to us as students of the breeds we have been involved with. We do strive to be educated to the fullest extent possible in any breed we become involved with weather we are owning or handling them for others.

The main occupation we have here at Pawsatively is professional handling. We have shown dogs from all seven groups and have finished dogs from each of the seven groups. We do not consider ourselves “ all breed handlers” though. We prefer to stick with the breeds we know best. We have successfully brought multiple dogs into the top ten for their breeds. We have qualified dogs for the Eukanuba invitational. But most important we have finished champions for our clients quickly, ethically and joyfully.

We occasionally hold handling classes and offer handling seminars for clubs or private parties. The seminars are two day events and cover everything from the origin of AKC to how to make your dog look like a top ten winner in the ring with you as the handler! These are a nice fund raiser for club and a credit for the club to fill AKC requirements for public education.
At our kennel we offer all breed pet grooming and specialized show grooming.
